My Peptide Journey | Emily Amanda

Wellness Educator  ·  EllieMD Brand Partner

My body wasn't broken.
I just needed better tools.

I have done so much work on myself over the past 20 years since I got sober and began a health and wellness journey.
I have crawled out the other side of some dark shit in my life and I have done the hard work to get where I am today.

This is my peptide journey — and an invitation to yours.

I'm Emily Amanda — Mother of 3, DJ, Registered Nurse, Sound Practitioner, Wellness Guide, and I help create experiences for women to help them remember who the F they are.

I have walked down many roads in my lifetime — as a DJ in the rave, club, nightlife scene — as a nurse who became addicted to pain killers along the way — I crawled my way out of that difficult time into sobriety. I spent years working the 12 steps and learning how to take care of my mind. My body took a back seat. I spent 20 years navigating a system that treats symptoms and never looked at the root cause.

3 decades of my life were focused on learning what it actually means to heal — through sobriety, through music, through breath, through my own body breaking down and building back up. I learned to take care of my body through exercise, proper nutrition, and I found supplements and therapies that started working. Along the way I have found so many useful tools to take care of my WHOLE self.....and I was still suffering.

I am here to share my experience, strength and hope. Not to tell you what to do — but to walk alongside you — and empower you to remember how powerful you are.

I did everything right — and I was still suffering.

For years I did everything right — sober, moving my body, eating well, spiritually grounded — and I was still suffering every single morning in a way that stole my dignity and my days. The system handed me prescriptions. I needed answers.

My journey with addiction and recovery led me to healing modalities that have saved my life. That whole journey left me with a body that needed a lot of catch up. The SSRI's I took for my anxiety after getting sober in 2004 likely caused microscopic colitis - something I didn't discover until years later. Ten to twenty episodes of explosive diarrhea every morning. Back and forth to the toilet. Sometimes going in the middle of the night. I was sober, I was doing the work — and this one thing was stealing my days.

I heard about EllieMD from a woman I trusted deeply — someone who had helped me access intimacy years before through somatic work with my body, my mind, and my breath. When she started sharing her peptide journey, I paid attention. I already knew how smart and authentic she was. Anything she dove into had integrity and intention behind it.

Once I learned there were peptides that could slow GI motility, decrease inflammation, and possibly repair tissue — I knew I had to try this. It felt magnetic. Energetic. Exciting. Like I was going to vomit and fly at the same time. Ironically, this was something she had talked with me about in our coaching container years back: "If something makes you feel this alive, it's probably worth trying."

When I finally found something that actually worked, the first thing I felt wasn't relief. It was rage — beautiful, clarifying rage — that no one had shown me this sooner.

Three categories. Real results.
My actual experience.

I am still a work in progress — but peptides are changing everything for me. Here's what I'm using, why, and where you can access it.

GI Health & Metabolic Support

GLP-1 / GIP —
The one that gave me my mornings back.

I went from 10–20 episodes of explosive liquid diarrhea every single morning — spending my mornings back and forth to the toilet, sometimes going in the middle of the night, soiling the bed — to 3–4 bowel movements a day that are close to solid. The urgency and frequency is so much less. My body feels less inflamed.

"To top it off, there is room and space in my mind to focus on food that matters and food that is good for me. I feel like I can make clear choices now."

GLP-1 and GIP are naturally occurring gut hormones that regulate appetite, glucose, and inflammation. For me, microdosing wasn't about weight loss — it was about getting my life back. I am in remission from microscopic colitis at this time. That sentence still makes me cry.

EllieMD's program is fully personalized - a board certified physician reviews your history and builds your protocol - with add on support like L-Carnitine, Glycine, or B12 depending on your goals.

Repair, Recovery & Skin Renewal

KLOW —
The foundation protocol.

Once I started the GLP-1 protocol and felt what was possible, I wanted to keep going. KLOW gave me the added benefits to my gut through KPV and BPC-157, the systemic recovery properties of TB-500, and a copper peptide called GHK-Cu that supports collagen and skin renewal.

"It's doing work you can feel before you can see — and then one day you look in the mirror and something has shifted."

As a nurse, this is the formulation that excites me most scientifically. These aren't glamour peptides. They are repair peptides — working at the cellular level to help your body do what it was designed to do before chronic stress, aging, and inflammation got in the way. HSA/FSA eligible.

Sexual Health & Intimacy

Sexual Health —
Scheduling it, enjoying it, and getting out of my head.

This is the category women need most and talk about least. The same woman who introduced me to EllieMD had helped me access intimacy years before — working somatically with my body, my mind, my breath — and ultimately helped me find and explore sex again with my loving partner of 15 years.

"This is the one helping me schedule, enjoy, and get out of my head and into my body with my loving husband."

PT-141 works differently than anything else in this space — it acts on the brain's arousal pathways, not just blood flow. Oxytocin deepens emotional connection and trust. Tadalafil supports physical responsiveness. Together, these compounds address desire from the inside out — neurologically, hormonally, and physically.

Three formats depending on your preference — injection, nasal spray, or a sublingual troche. All physician-prescribed, pharmacy-grade, and available for both women and men.

I've shared the three categories I'm personally using — but EllieMD offers so much more. Whether you're curious about longevity, hormone support, cognitive performance, or weight management, the platform has physician-guided protocols for all of it.

Every product is prescription-based, pharmacy-grade, and supported by a team of board-certified physicians available in all 50 states. This is not a supplement aisle. This is real medicine, accessible in a new way.

Emily Amanda

This isn't just a health journey.
It's a business opportunity.

"The opportunity that exists to pass this along to others — this is the part that makes me feel so excited."

As a nurse, I want to help people — and this feels like such an incredible way to do that. The chance to empower others to go on a journey for themselves, not for anyone else, and not because someone told them to — that is what lights me up.

EllieMD offers a brand partner program for individuals who want to share these products with their communities. If you've experienced the results yourself and want to refer others, it's a simple and meaningful way to create income doing something that actually matters. The best news is that you do not need to have any medical background to partner with Ellie - you are a connector to the products, you are not selling them. EllieMD's Physicians take care of the intake, assessment and prescribing. If you do have a medical background, your license is not involved.

But there's also a bigger conversation here — one for small businesses in the health, wellness, and beauty space. Spas, wellness centers, functional medicine practices, yoga studios — any business whose clients are already asking about longevity, hormones, gut health, and performance. EllieMD can be a powerful offering to add to your existing practice.

If either of these conversations feel interesting to you, I'd love to talk.
